Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Produce machined parts to tight tolerances by operating CNC mills (Haas/Mazak).
2. Read and understand blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals and sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, and surfaces to be machined on finished workpiece.
3. Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance-machining.
4. Completes all quality and production-related documents.
5. Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment in order to remove grease, rust, stains, and foreign matter.
6. Deburr parts after machining.
7. Keep tools clean and operating properly (i.e. Dynafile, band saw, mill, etc.).
8. Keep work area clean and tidy.
9. Serve as back-up to Assembly Technician (cross-training), as needed.
10. Additional tasks as assigned by the Department Manager.
11. Follow all AS9100, internal quality policies, OSHA safety regulations, and company safety policies.
Job Requirements:
1. U.S. citizenship or permanent resident (green card) required (sponsorship is not available with this position).
2. Minimum high school diploma or GED; Vocational schooling preferred.
3. Minimum five years’ experience in CNC field, preferably in aerospace/defense industry.
4. Knowledge of micrometers, calipers, and other precision detail tools.
5. Experience reading blueprints. GD&T is a plus.
6. Detail-oriented and cautious approach to work required.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Excellent problem-solving/troubleshooting skills.
9. Ability to lift and handle up to 50 lbs. daily and stand for long periods of time.
10. All employment at IBC is conditional upon results from background and drug testing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
