Assist with the coordination of the CSB VIVA! (Valued Intern & Volunteer in Action) program of CSB-wide multiple functions related to internships and volunteerisms to support the CSB mission and vision. Support VIVA program's recruitment efforts, record-keeping practices, data management, onboarding, and other related duties.
- Administrative- Performs data entry for various needs, such as entering new and updated information in a volunteer management database (VMS). Reviews and approves logbook requests; prepare, mail, and/or post various correspondences to volunteers: including monthly Volunteer Opportunities Listings, Birthdays, etc. Inputs data, builds reports, maintains statistical excel spreadsheets and distribute bi-weekly. Tracking information for active volunteers and volunteer opportunities.
- Volunteer Coordination - Responds to requests for information from potential volunteers and/or CSB staff/programs interested in using volunteers; works closely with VIVA program manager to coordinate and promote volunteer experiences; assists in coordinating the activities of active volunteers; updates volunteer openings lists
- Outreach/Public Relations - Assists in community outreach efforts, such as, identifying new areas for volunteer recruitment. Assists with various public relations tasks, such as, developing content for social media sites, writing and editing volunteer opportunities listings and other duties as assigned. Acts as an agency representative to committees, task forces, community meetings when the Program Manager is unavailable; May travel within Fairfax County to recruit internally and externally via partner groups in-person and online based on organization needs to meeting agency mission.
- Training - Co-facilitates Volunteer Orientation and Onboarding – assists with follow-up as needed to ensure that all volunteers complete the minimum training requirements and documents training in accordance with policy and procedure. Assists with volunteer training preparation and execution (form collection, setting up volunteer files, assembling volunteer manuals, and monitoring completion of online training modules)

- Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate and encourage others.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Minimum Requirements:

Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate degree in social or behavioral sciences, liberal arts, education or personnel administration; plus one year of experience in volunteer activities and/or programs. Two year or more of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for two years of required education.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel to various sites. Ability to use keyboard driven technology. Ability to communicate clearly orally and in writing.
