Job Description

• Responsibilities Ensures proper conveyances set up to sort and distribute incoming bags.
• Reads and verifies the city and flight number for every bag to ensure correct loading of customer bags.
• Organizes and prioritizes baggage load for delivery to the proper aircraft for loading.
• Ensures compliance with all TSA, DOT, FAA, OSHA safety rules, regulations, and applicable laws.
• Accepts responsibility for the safety of the scanner and associated equipment. Scans each bag as it arrives at the bag room.
• Forwards and receives bags to/from TSA for processing. Ensures appropriate attention is paid to priority items.
• Handles customer interaction in an efficient, effective, and professional manner.
• Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position.

Qualifications

• Must be a local (in-state) resident.
• High School diploma or GED. Valid In-State Driver?s License.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to pass up to a 10-year background check.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have the authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
• Must complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security.
• Must be able to lift/carry / push/pull and move items of 70 pounds and/or more regularly and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $12.00 per hour
