Title: Manufacturing - Assembler
Work Location: Buffalo Grove, IL 60089
Duration: 3 months
Schedule: 1st shift
Job description
- Assemble and test multiple styles of front and rear bus door electrical and pneumatic actuators.
- Will need some direct supervision from Team Lead and/or manager. Determine work needed to be completed and act accordingly.
- Work from blueprints, electrical wiring diagrams and Process Standards Sheets (PSS), Team Leader and manager instructions, by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Use computer to pull up latest drawing of actuator to be assembled.
- Using pneumatic tools, hand tools, electric tools, and torque tools to attach and properly secure a wide variety of components and subassemblies to a base plate.
- Adjust components as needed and certify quality of assembly or sub-assembly.
- May fabricate components to be used in the final assembly such as teeter lever or engine housing or components. Some of these operations may involve light machining and light welding.
- Follows assembly drawings, Process Standard Sheet (PSS) instructions and verbal directions from Team Leader and supervisor
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
- exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Ability to follow instructions and management directive.
- Ensure a safe working environment, good housekeeping and 5’s for your respective area and all VBI.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); technical studies preferred; and two (2) to four (4) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Salary: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
