Managing Business Litigation Attorney Qualifications:
- You are actively licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Nevada.
- You bring a minimum of 7 years of experience working in a law firm with leadership & management responsibilities.
- You are comfortable working in-person and remotely. This is a hybrid position that requires you to be able to work several days per week in our beautiful Reno, NV office.
- You have a solid professional background in managing a high caseload of prelitigation, litigation, and transactional matters, including case strategy consultations, discovery, depositions, and trial and hearing preparation.
- You are self-governing with a demonstrated ability to independently argue motions, take and defend depositions, and conduct trials without supervision.
- You have used your expertise to successfully train and develop new attorneys and support staff on case management, client communications, document preparation, firm processes, and legal research.
- You have tried unassisted cases in state and federal courts with favorable outcomes. This is not an entry-level position. You have a positive track record in and out of the courtroom!
- You efficiently and competently research complicated legal issues to design and execute winning strategies.
- You draft pleadings, motions, memoranda of law, discovery requests and responses, legal correspondence, etc.
- You set an example of professionalism and leadership for the firm with internal and external clients, including the community in which we live and work.
- You are tech-savvy and utilize case management software, preferably Clio Grow and Clio Manage.
- You have excellent writing and communication skills with superior attention to detail.
