Come join our family-owned and operated company as the blending line operator responsible for the final stage of growing media production.

Renewed Earth and its sister company Kalamazoo Landscape Supplies combined are a family-owned organization providing professional grade products to landscaping companies, mulch resellers and large nurseries. The successful candidate will be trained to safely and effectively operate equipment such as front-end loaders, forklifts and other equipment including calibration, setup and operating the computerized blending line.

This position requires coordinating with others throughout the organization to ensure quality products are produced on time. General math skills are required to make calculations such as determining load size from weight samples, determine product flow rates and to calibrate the equipment. Some heavy lifting will also be required during the production runs. General computer knowledge will be needed to manage documents necessary to carry out required tasks.

The ideal candidate will have experience in landscaping or horticulture with some heavy equipment experience. The successful candidate will also be mechanically inclined, take pride in a clean and organized work area, and be able to successfully coordinate activities with one or two others to accomplish tasks.

This is a year-around, full-time position which includes a nice blend of responsibilities and tasks to keep it interesting. It is at times busy and fast paced to meet the production schedule, while other times working ahead is required to keep the work areas clean, organized and ready for the upcoming production runs. The product being made is a lightweight soil sold to professional nurseries for growing small plants in pots. Each batch is made using a unique recipe.
