Noritz is looking for a Business Data Analyst to join our team in our office in Fountain Valley, CA. The Business Data Analyst is responsible for turning data into information, information into insight, and insight into business decisions.

JOB DUTIES:

• Collaborate with team members to collect, organize, and analyze data
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets to create reports, dashboards, graphs, infographics, and other visualizations
• Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions
• Work with executives to identify trends, opportunities, and prioritize business process improvements
• Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
• Structure large data sets to find usable information
• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
• Filter and clean data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
• Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques
• Strong knowledge and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects, etc.), databases (SQL, etc.), and programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings
• Advanced experience with macros in Microsoft Excel
• Able to develop and maintain positive, cooperative, team-oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers, clients, and others as required for the job.
• Ability to handle moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff
• Ability to function and work independently.
• Ability to provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group
• Occasional travel for work may be required (10%)
