BIG PICTURE:

We are looking for a committed and fun-loving Studio Teacher to compliment our bright and talented minor cast members. This individual will be responsible for going over school work as needed with talent, looking over work permits and documents verifying information is accurate, all while ensuring the safety and well-being of our casted talent. The Studio Teacher will facilitate daily progress of academic learning for minors casted throughout various productions, on-location, and in the studio while also helping them develop their personalities and skills. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional problem solving skills, strong communication, and a passion for teaching children. Ultimately the Studio Teacher will have a proven track record of working effectively with production teams, students, and parents to create and maintain success both in and out of the classroom.

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME:

• Supervising minors during all stages of production while working with parents to ensure their general well-being
• Working closely with our Production Manager and Project Manager Associates to ensure compliance with State of California health, safety, and ethics mandates within the entertainment industry including verifying all work permits
• Ensuring an active, comfortable, engaging, consistent, and positive environment while on set
• Managing information requests received that may be made by telephone, letter, email, or in-person to ensure compliance
• Liaison between production, students, and parents
• Reviewing school work during production as needed and assisting with any questions or concerns
• Developing and maintaining administrative processes to achieve organizational objectives as well as to improve accuracy and efficiency with all parties involved

WHAT YOU HAVE:

• Must be a certificated teacher who holds both a California Elementary and a California Secondary teaching credential that is valid and current
• 2+ years of experience as a Studio Teacher working within a production setting
• Strong knowledge of set protocols and state working operation guidelines
• Strong ethical standards, strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

WHO OVERSEES YOU:

The Studio Teacher will report directly to the Senior Production Manager and will have regular interaction.

WHO YOU OVERSEE:

The Studio Teacher oversees on-set talent as required and will have regular interaction.

WHERE IT ALL GOES DOWN:

All the action takes place at our BRAND NEW studio in Burbank, CA!

WHEN THE MAGIC HAPPENS:

The typical work schedule is on call as needed per production schedule. Will require a flexible schedule.
