Project Engineer Job Description:

Actalent is searching for a civil project engineer to support an employee owned engineering firm out of their Cincinnati office.

The Project Engineer will be working within the Construction Services department. This position will include a mix of field work, laboratory work, and office work. Responsible for overseeing the reporting of construction materials testing activities on various projects. Also responsible for submittals, RFI's, change orders, daily reports, distributing documentation and communicating with clients directly, and more. This role provides opportunities for growth internally with a reputable engineering firm.

Responsibilities Include:

• Manages reporting of construction quality control activities on construction projects
• Trains and supervises technicians and inspectors
• Manages the maintenance of the quality reviews and certifications
• Manages equipment inventory and calibration
• Performs various inspections and tests for public and private sector clients
• Monitors and enforces quality standards and specifications to support the client
• Assists in coordination of field personnel, preparation of test reports and performing specialty tests and services for public and private sector clients
• Monitor quality control standards and specifications, read blue prints, etc

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field required
• Internship or co-op experience preferred
• Materials testing experience or ACI cert a plus, but not required
• Organization skills
• Valid driver's license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
