Manage the technical team offering support and advice to the maintenance and operation of its sector in compliance with the application of factory regulations, health and safety, the collective labor agreement and of the environment.

• Help create a synergy between coating operation and coater operation.
• Promote, develop and support the advancement of reliability in the department.
• Identify projects that leverage existing assets to further develop coating capabilities.
• Work with corporate products development team to coordinate coating trials, raw material trials, etc.
• Manage raw materials of preferred and secondary suppliers to ensure all COA specs are identified and met.
• Identify capital needs for product development. Coordinate major outages, supervise shutdown audits and monitor daily costs during the outages. Responsible for the technical analysis of breakage investigations.
• Ensure cost control as well as capital investments.
