Sixt Rent-A-Car is looking for an experienced, ambitious, and high-achieving Communications Manager to oversee the implementation of both internal and external communications.

In this role, you are responsible for developing internal and external communications material: video presentations, company announcements, newsletters, and notifications. You’ll also be responsible for ensuring that said materials are swiftly and successfully delivered across different internal communications channels.

Lastly, you will aid our leadership team by keeping all employees updated about decisions made during important company meetings. You are to disseminate briefings to all internal stakeholders and communicate our leadership’s vision in a clear and consistent manner.

What You Will Do

  • Manage and review creation and distribution of communications by providing strategic internal and external counsel, planning, and implementation support
  • Develop and execute short and long-term communications strategies to support Company’s various business interests and initiatives
  • Advise stakeholders on best practices and methods to build and execute content that drives employee engagement towards key initiatives within the firm, such as learning and development, diversity, equity and inclusion, and total rewards
  • Create, implement, and monitor the effectiveness of communications and engagement strategies ensuring Sixt’s missions, values, initiatives, and people news are communicated in an effective and engaging manner
  • Create internal communications material, such as presentations, newsletters, and announcements to proactively identify opportunities that enhance and improve processes
  • Champion the Sixt brand identity and values internally and externally by developing, writing, and editing communication for executives including videos, emails, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), and presentations
  • Draft or oversee the creation of media releases, blogs, and content by forging relationships with journalists and key influencers to manage the response in crisis situations
  • Give briefings, distribute recaps regarding policy changes and updates, and convey important decisions by senior management
  • 15-25% domestic travel; international travel possible 2-3 times a year
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Who You Are

  • A skilled storyteller with a passion for creating clear and inspiring narratives
  • Provides insight, clarity, and details on metrics and KPIs related to the return on investment, areas of opportunity, and milestones to accomplish
  • Thrives in creating partnerships throughout the business as you possess the ability to work with a diverse group of individuals from a variety of backgrounds
  • Loves to achieve remarkable results and see your strategies in action while striving for feedback as you are always seeking to optimize, improve, and achieve more
  • Embodies the company’s mission, vision, and values in all campaigns and initiatives passionately
  • Values the impact of investigating, creating, and distributing compelling content targeted to specific audiences
  • 2-3 years of experience in a communications role
  • Previous experience in a Public Relations / Communications agency preferred, but not required
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field preferred
