Summary:
As a Concept Artist you will be instrumental in creating initial concepts for the characters and environments for our Bitverse! You'll work with out Lead Artist and Art Director to create attractive, fun concepts that push the imagination of our developers and allow us to expand our Bitverse world. You'll be part of a fully-remote, globally-distributed team that collaborates well and loves what they do.

Concept Artist Responsibilities:

• Create detailed key concepts from a written brief or a visual reference in any required phase (draft, sketch, color test, etc).
• Participate in the creative process by conceptualizing ideas within a wide range of posibilities, preventing concepts from become stagnant in only one style or framework.
• Render final art pieces and assets to use in any of the development phases of our videogames.
• Research concept sketches, styles and genres.
• Draw specification sheets, establishing dimensions and details for others to follow.
• Assist in creation of marketing materials and assets.

Concept Artist Qualifications:

• At least 3-5 years of professional experience as concept artist, ideally in web or mobile video games, with proven ability to create concepts and ideas and work with uncertainty.
• Vast and practical imagination.
• Strong drawing skills, with a specialization in concept art.
• Ability to draw in a variety of styles and levels of complexity.
• Knowledge of anatomy and zoology, costuming, physical settings and history-related references.
• Solid awareness of facial expression, pose, posture, gesture and movement.
• Able to draw from written briefs.
• Solid understanding of visual language - texture, color, dimension, scale, perspective, shade, composition, depth of field, proportion, spatial awareness, etc.
• Skilled in technical drawing.
• Expert in the use of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator.
• Pixel art experience and knowledge is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in Art and Design, Illustration or other related degree required or equivalent work experience.
