Van Metre Companies is seeking a Customer Experience Representative to work in our New Homes Division!
This is not your typical Customer Service role! Van Metre is looking to revolutionize the customer's experience in the homebuilding industry, and this position is critical to carrying out that vision. The position is ideal for an entry level position of someone looking to get into the Real Estate industry with a company that is a top place to work. Please note that this position requires the ability to travel to our different communities throughout the Prince William, Frederick, and Fauquier Counties.
Responsibilities:

  • Customer Interaction: The largest and most important responsibility is the customer/homeowner. For starters, this individual will own the homeowner relationship after the settlement on their new home. This position will aid the homeowner through their Service / Warranty phase by coordinating service visits, trade partners, and meeting the homeowner's needs. Eventually this position will also get exposure to the entire life cycle of the homebuilding process, including the Sales, Marketing, Construction, and Settlement phases.
  • This position will require frequent in-person interaction with our homeowners, trade partners, and other Van Metre employees
  • Provide timely and effective responses to homeowner's emails and phone calls
  • It is critical this individual consistently brings a positive attitude every day and always focuses on ways to delight our homeowners
  • Proactively serving the homeowner during their experience with Van Metre
  • On-Site Activities: This position will spend a lot of time on-site representing Van Metre in the customer's home after settlement
  • They will be present to oversee warranty repairs in the home during service workdays and be the point of contact with the Homeowner during the workdays
  • They will communicate with the Area Service Manger the status of the work being performed
  • This position will coordinate and manage the trades by confirming they are on schedule, have the needed material on hand, and ensure work gets done on time and in a professional manner
  • Other:
  • Read and understand the workday lists to know what will be expected/ done during the service appointment
  • Confirm trades are scheduled and have any materials needed for workdays, 2 days prior to scheduled service
  • Show up to the home at the scheduled time and date (per calendar invite)
  • Daily contact with Area Service Manager to update on any potential issues or questions with scheduled service

Requirements:

  • Some experience in either sales, customer service, or construction preferred
  • Dependable transportation
  • Ability to use outlook calendar, PDF expert on mobile devices, and ability to learn new software

  • Exceptional organization skills and can manage multiple jobs at once
  • An excellent communicator (both written and verbal) with strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to work well with minimal management
  • Extremely dependable and punctual

Locations are in Prince William County, Frederick County, and Fauquier County.
