Cybersecurity Engineer - Application Security (Remote)
Job description
The Cybersecurity Engineer develops, maintains and supports The Home Depot's technical infrastructure, hardware, and system software components for small to large-sized projects. You will perform configuration, debugging and support for multiple infrastructure platforms on large-sized and smaller projects. In addition, you will perform root cause analysis for service interruption recovery; create preventative measures and present to management. The ideal candidate can communicate complete technical solutions to business partners with minimal direction using understandable language; has the ability to manage time and work independently on multiple projects. They will have been exposed to various architecture review boards and contributed to deliverables presented at review boards.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-3 years related experience.
- Retail/business experience a plus.
- Project leadership ability.
- BS Computer Science or related field.
- Proficiency as a system administrator on Linux or Windows platforms, scripting and automation, familiarity with databases, and Agile life cycle methodologies. Proven proficiency of at least two continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- 25% Perform installation, maintenance, and support of system software and user support on small to large-sized projects.
- 25% Perform configuration, debugging, and support for multiple infrastructure platforms on small to large-sized projects.
- 20% Monitor and tune platforms to ensure expected availability and performance levels are achieved.
- 30% Perform root cause analysis for service interruption recovery; create preventative measures and present to management.

- 100% Deliver Execution & Problem Solving - Troubleshoot and quickly resolve escalated incidents Investigate and recommend corrective actions related to incidents Collaborate with Enterprise Technology to configure and integrate cybersecurity systems and services that mitigate risk Design, build, configure, maintain and monitor cybersecurity threat defense capabilities and user access management

- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.
