If you are looking for an exciting and challenging opportunity to support Federal Surprise Bill claim activity, the Federal Surprise Bill Team is looking for you. This role will require you to review open negotiation and independent dispute resolution inquiries received from providers/billing agencies for surprise bill eligible and respond back with decisions.
In this position, you will review provider requests to initiate the Federal Surprise Bill Open Negotiation process.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 18.50
Maximum: 34.60
Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

In this position, you will review provider requests to initiate the Federal Surprise Bill Open Negotiation process.
- Review email submissions and validate claim eligibility to determine if the claim was adjudicated as a Federal Surprise Bill claim
- Effectively communicate via email with providers and/or billing agencies with a response to their open negotiation request
- Log each open negotiation claim request into a QuickBase application with required details of the outcome
- Collaborate with other teams to complete tasks

- Medical billing Knowledge
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
