POSITION SUMMARY

Our Data Entry Specialists will conduct data collection, administrative processing, and compliance outreach for consumers and recipients of Fountain House services. This will involve directly interfacing with the Fountain House membership (Individuals we support with serious mental health issues) to update and collect their profile and service information that can include health history, insurance information, support contacts, and social determinants of health. The specialist will be responsible for processing and inputting member information into the Fountain House electronic health record, following all relevant privacy and compliance protocols in adherence to HIPAA. Compliance outreach will also be required, where the specialist will coordinate and receive information from other service providers such as psychiatrists and medical doctors for processing and record keeping in Fountain House system. Specialist will assist with collection of data for reports required for contracts.

Please Note: We now have two open positions. The are both fully In-house positions!

Salary: $21.00 per hour

The part-time Bronx has recently added Bilingual English/Spanish as a requirement and is part-time.


The full-time role in the Manhattan Clubhouse is Monday - Friday 9AM - 5PM

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilization of electronic health record (EHR) to input, update, and process Fountain House member information
  • Interfacing with Fountain House Clubhouse membership (Individuals we support with serious mental health issues) to survey and collect member information
  • Addressing data inconsistencies by working with members (individuals we support) & staff to locate missing data
  • Establishing data entry standards by continually updating filing systems to improve data quality
  • Compliance outreach to healthcare and support contacts
  • Adherence to HIPAA privacy and practices

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Familiarity with data processing systems, specifically electronic health records (EHR).
  • Congenial and patient customer service skills are essential
  • Technical aptitude for data tracking and inputting
  • High attention to detail in managing contact outreach and data entry
  • Computer skills with literacy in basic business software (Microsoft applications)
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
  • Solid time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks

REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND CREDENTIALS

  • High school diploma required, (BA preferred)
  • At least 1+ year of experience as a data entry specialist
  • Bilingual Spanish/English required for Bronx location
