As a Delivery Associate for Drivergent Logistics, you will be on the front lines and it will be your job to exceed customer expectations and make sure all orders are delivered on time at the right place. Available Positions

• Approx. 9-10 hour daily shifts (varies by daily demand)
• Part-Time, 2 or 3 days per week
• Megacycle schedule – afternoons and evenings
• We operate 7 days per week
• Expect some weekend work
• MUST be reliable, and capable of working a partially flexible schedule

General Responsibilities

• Adhere to strict safety and quality standards on and off the road
• Always drive and operate delivery vehicle safely
• Actively limit distracted driving habits
• Interact in a positive and a professional manner with customers and general public while delivering products to customers' homes, retail, and business locations
• Follow up on customer requests or problems with solution-oriented approach keeping customer informed of delivery progress
• Tech Savvy: Use handheld technology to deliver customer packages, manage delivery progress, and solve obstacles
• Sort and prepare a delivery route to meet customer promise
• Adhere to stated uniform or dress code guidelines
• Adhere to strict on-time attendance policy
• Ensure delivery vehicle is clean, fueled, and in good operating condition at all times
• May assist in training other team members
• Where appropriate, carry out in delivery station activities including sortation and general tasks

Work Environment

• Under tight deadlines, safely drives a delivery van to many customer residences and businesses, climbs in and out of van, and walks up and down stairs as required to deliver packages according to established procedures in all weather conditions
• Delivering packages safely and efficiently (estimated 20+ packages an hour)
• Flexibility is key; routes may vary and may be delayed due to traffic from on road congestion, construction, or other factors
• Set core schedule, but there may be adjustments, including additional hours and potential schedule changes depending on time of the year and peak seasons and other factors

Job Requirements

• Ability to lift, bend, reach above the head, kneel, crouch, and/or stretch during shifts up to 9+ hours long
• Ability to operate and navigate a van up to GVWR 10,000 lbs.
• Ability to effectively operate a GPS
• Basic knowledge of Metro Detroit area
• Ability to lift, push, pull and move boxes up to 50 pounds each
• Capable of moving up and down stairs
• Ability to work outside in various climates and weather conditions

Basic Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the U.S
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Possess a valid driver’s license in the state of residence
• Consent to a drug test, motor vehicles and criminal check
• Demonstrate strong communication skills
• Proficient in English sufficient enough to read road signs and communicate with personnel

Preferred Qualifications

• Holds high ethical standards at all times
• Proven track record of reliability
• Prior professional driving experience
• Prior experience representing a well-regarded consumer brand with professionalism
• Excellent attention to detail with skill set to problem solve independently
• Self-motivated and able to work in a self-directed environment with an upbeat attitude
• Ability to work with a team in a fast paced, ever changing environment
