Petoskey Plastics is seeking a Director of Engineering to be responsible for providing direction, support, development, and leadership in the areas of engineering and continuous improvement. This position will assess current and future technology and resource needs to support aggressive sales and growth projections. The DOE will provide technical support and direction for capital projects, equipment upgrades and capacity planning. This position will lead and promote a culture of continuous improvement leading to increased efficiencies. The DOE will manage projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and meet deadlines.

The Director of Engineering may be based out of any of our plant locations (Petoskey, MI, Hartford City, IN, Morristown, TN or McKinney, TX) and will travel frequently to support all plant facilities.

Knowledge and Skills preferred:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • 10 years of manufacturing experience
  • 10 years of management experience
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to quality work and continuous improvement activities
  • Able to work in a team environment, and effectively manage associates
  • Self-directed, goal-oriented performer
  • Excellent computer literacy skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Multi-tasking with attention to detail
  • Mechanical and electrical blueprint reading
