Summary:

As Kongregate’s Director of Product for our “Platform” initiative, you will be instrumental in designing, launching, and maintaining our new blockchain gaming destination. Your work will ensure that Kongregate is a long term leader in the space and is aligned with the best technologies, marketplaces, and forward thinking developers in web3. This is a full time remote position.

Responsibilities:

• Product roadmap strategy, vision and planning; Work closely with Executives to understand the needs of the product to create and execute your product strategy and long term vision for the Platform.

• Manage prioritization and trade-offs based on player, 3rd party developer, tech, and business needs.

• CEO-like mindset: Own every aspect of a convincing roadmap that achieves KPI goals set by you and the Platform Team. You will guide cross-functional partners such as product designers, artists, engineers, and project managers to deliver a polished product that meets the product’s vision.

• Own feature and platform outcomes. Generate accurate expected outcomes for new content and features

• Specification planning and execution: Actively contribute to the product specifications pipeline; own some or all of the pipeline items.

• Platform Analysis: Proactively monitor platform and game specific KPIs, economy indicators, progression funnels, sales and events..

• Report out to the broader Kongregate organization and leadership the results, learnings and best practices of recent releases, game launches, content or any other relevant platform-related outcomes.

• Platform Team Lead: Lead, develop, and mentor a cross functional team including data analysts, designers, and producers

• Platform economy and monetization design driver: Able to create or iterate on existing economies and monetization systems to provide further depth or tweak and adjust values while understanding the impact that these will have in KPIs.

  
  

You Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Data Analysis

• 5+ years of experience as a product manager or related role, with a proven track record in managing live operations, balancing in-game economies and defining product roadmaps in the free-to-play gaming industry

• 3+ years of leading, inspiring, motivating, and organizing a cross-functional team to create high quality products

• Vision, drive, and the ability to bring teams together to reach a common goal, especially in an evolving space.

• Entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to remain flexible and adapt to changing priorities

• Ability to translate required business outcomes into action plans and tangible deliverables, prioritizing a product roadmap to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities

• Expert ability to collect, organize, interpret, and report large amounts of data, run statistically significant A/B tests, and develop Expected Outcomes of new features based on comparable examples in the marketplace

• Expert ability to establish and grow KPIs related to engagement, growth, and monetization

• Knowledge of the overall gaming market with a deep understanding of game development, free-to-play KPIs, and live operations best practices

• Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels of the organization

• SQL experience preferred

• Experience working in Jira a plus

• Passion for web3 technology a plus

  
  

Salary: $150,000-$190,000 DOE
