Emerson Tool Company is looking for a Director of Sales to support our major sales partner, The Home Depot. Our Director will drive sales by providing the highest level of customer service, while continuously balancing stakeholders, and will act as the primary point of contact between Emerson Tool Company and the Home Depot, ensuring collaboration and working to grow an already robust partnership. The Director of Sales will also be the internal voice of the customer and be comfortable collaborating on both strategic and tactical initiatives to drive the RIDGID Wet/Dry Vac business forward.

AS A DIRECTOR OF SALES, YOU WILL:

  • Use data to identify strategic initiatives, and growth drivers - working closely with the internal team, as well as the customer.
  • Provide direction for your team to build weekly and quarterly sales reports, using data supplied by the channel partner to keep the broader organization informed of recent sales trends.
  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with The Home Depot, responding to customer needs and ensuring healthy and sustainable growth.
  • Work closely with the field team, as well as channel partners, to ensure that all products are properly merchandised, and projects and promotions are solidly executed.
  • Maintain an exceptional understanding of the product line and all competitor products in the marketplace, with a continuous effort to improve that knowledge and keep up-to-date.
  • Develop presentations, support, and participate in key business unit and corporate meetings.

Flexible Work Schedule – Remote Work Option and Core Hours
This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to three days a week and a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and productivity as we serve the needs of our customers.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or other related field plus a minimum of five (5) years of related experience
  • Strong organizational and business communication skills (both verbal and written) and general presentation skills
  • Strong time-management skills, capable of meeting deadlines for multiple projects simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented with high-quality work standards
  • Dependable and punctual with a keen ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Energetic and enthusiastic, exhibiting a positive and responsive attitude to drive results
  • Analytical, problem solver with the ability to develop creative, constructive ideas and solutions, focused on the customer

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

  • Seven (7) years of related experience
  • MBA or related master's degree preferred
