The Service Bureau Director is responsible for the overall performance and strategy of the Personalization, and Fulfillment areas of the Service Bureau. The Service Bureau Director is accountable for achievement of KPI’s while complying to corporate and local standards and policies.



Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the performance of the Service Bureau, setting targets and supporting department staff in achieving Safety, Quality, Service, Productivity, and Cost targets.
  • Removes barriers to improve department performance.
  • Develops department strategy, working closely with Regional Operations, and Executive Leadership to define the future state.
  • Participates in CAPEX planning and execution, including developing business plans, gaining approvals, and coordinating implementation.
  • Responsible for the Service Bureau budget.
  • Manages staff performance including objective setting, mid-year and annual reviews.
  • Ensures staff is operating within company guidelines and policies.
  • Cultivates team work and promotes a positive and innovative work environment.
  • Defines the department staffing structure and schedule in alignment with leadership to achieve departmental KPI’s.
  • Implements Lean methodologies to reduce waste.
  • Stays up-to-date with the latest industry trends, ensuring the department is on the leading edge, and able to offer the solutions our customers need.
  • Fosters a strong working relationship with stakeholders including Customer Service, Sales, and external Customers and Partners.
  • Participates actively in the RFP process, to win future business and promote continued growth.
  • Adheres to all safety regulations with regard to company policies and legal regulations


Accountabilities:

  • Safe operation of the department
  • Achievement of KPI targets.
  • Budget and cost reductions goals.
  • Compliance with Corporate and Local departmental KPI’s and Quality standards.


Job Specifications:

  • Work performed in a fast-paced production setting.
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time, and reach and move about facility.
  • Overtime may be required.
  • Wearing of company furnished smock is mandatory.
  • Occasional travel, including international.
  • Must participate in the bring your own device program for after-hours communication.


Qualification and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree from four year accredited institution required.
  • Greater than five years of experience in Service Bureau Operations.
  • Greater than five years of experience in managing salaried employees.
  • Experience in capital projects management.
  • Experience in Lean methodologies.
  • Excellent Mathematical ability required
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast pace and demanding environment
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
