Reporting to the JJVC Product Management Senior Director, the Director Supply Chain Programs is accountable for the governance of the complex supply chain portfolio. These projects are global and critical, driving product and platform strategies for the contact lens business. The successful candidate will have a strong mix of strategic business expertise and technical background, a strong understanding of regulated Supply Chains, and demonstrated financial competence. This leader will be required develop strategies, handle ambiguity, evaluate business impacts, and influence business priorities across multiple functions including Source, MAKE, Plan, Deliver, EM, Marketing & R&D to develop and implement robust product strategies and plans. They will identify risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and work with the Vision Care leadership team to prioritize critical initiatives as part of the Strategic Planning & Business Planning process cycles.

Primary cross-functional partners include: Commercial, R&D, Source, Plan, Quality, Make, Finance & Deliver.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Detailed project planning and execution
  • Lead business experts to create new value through strategic program and project implementation. Improve business impact through data; synthesizing data into recommendations and build concrete implementation plans
  • In partnership with commercial, R&D and supply chain define supply chain product and network strategies to enable profitable growth of the JJVC business.
  • Will proactively challenge existing paradigms leading to breakthrough business improvement solutions
  • Directs / leads program management activities across all business functions to drive reliability, compliance, costs, & agility for all platforms in alignment with most critical business objectives and metrics
  • Lead complex supply chain governance to manage progress, control project intake, capture benefits and drive flawless project execution.
  • Assess and raise critical issues to appropriate governances and drive rapid resolution, including proactively identifying potential solutions and tradeoffs in order to make course correction decisions while safeguarding value.
  • Own communications for major projects throughout all organizational levels and functions
  • Critical participant in E2E SC model including key inputs to Portfolio & Risk Management, GP improvement, and sustainability influencing the development of operating models, strategic plans, and business priorities
  • Lead/Support JJVC sustainability program

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required. Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Business or related field highly preferred. Advanced degree such as a MS or MBA preferred.
  • Experience in Medical Device or relevant regulated industry required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of supply chain, commercial and/or R&D experience
  • Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain Planning, Commercial or R&D experience preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated people/team leadership experience including the management of remote teams is required.
  • Experience in or significant support of highly automated, high-volume manufacturing & distribution environment is preferred.
  • New Product Launch and/or lifecycle management experience required.
  • Project management experience required
  • Demonstrated experience in developing strategies and leading change
  • Demonstrated ability in tradeoff analysis, problem solving & developing business cases
  • Demonstrated strong financial acumen of E2E Supply Chain costs and overall business P&L
  • Strong executive communication and presentation
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus, to lead teams through influence rather than authority, and build collaborative relationships
  • Comfort with ambiguity
  • Ability to travel globally and domestically
