Job description

Responsibilities

• Visual inspection of company vehicle for defects when the vehicle is not running and operating defects when the vehicle is running. Also responsible for completing a daily inspection report.
• Load material into the company vehicle and work with shift supervisor to ensure ALL regular delivery trucks are correctly loaded.
• Deliver material to the appropriate job sites using the company vehicle.
• Pick up material and clean off job sites.
• Pick up material from suppliers.
• Receive material coming into the building by vendors, customers, or other warehouses accurately and promptly.
• Verify the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against the packing list.
• Measure, cut, and spool wire materials.
• Substitute for other warehouse personnel when needed.
• Contribute to a culture and environment focused daily on employee safety and a safe work environment. Assume responsibility for immediately addressing safety concerns.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Skills, Knowledge, and Education Required

• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Able to meet deadlines.
• Excellent attendance record required.
• Able to work overtime as needed.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3-4 years or equivalent job experience preferred.
• CDL License a plus.
• Previous warehouse experience a plus.
• General knowledge of electrical materials is a plus.
• Must have good driving record and a valid driver's license.
• Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail required.
• Must be able to sit/stand 8-10 hours.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Ability and willingness to work outside in changing weather conditions year round.
