ABOUT THE PROJECT: The Howard Hughes Corporation, the nationally-recognized real estate company overseeing the re-development of New York City’s Seaport District, envisions the repositioning of the property as a magnet for attracting locals and visitors alike with a unique, year-round blend of entertainment, food and retail offerings. The centerpiece of the Seaport District’s renaissance is an entirely re-imagined historic Tin Building, featuring a one-of-a-kind Marketplace and entertainment venue operated by renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. The Tin Building features multiple unique venues: Several full-service restaurants, fast casual, and counter dining outlets as well as 10,000 sf of retail featuring private label products, grab and go, grocery and CPGs. To support this significant operation the Marketplace features a large commissary kitchen and bakery, as well as an exhibition kitchen that will provide media opportunities.

POSITION SUMMARY The E-Commerce Operations and Data Manager for the Food & Beverage Business units will report directly to Director of E-Commerce and will be responsible for maintaining product data across multiple platforms. This role will be responsible to execute online orders to support operations to fulfill both restaurant and grocery orders. They will manage a team of shoppers, F&B runners, and shift managers to ensure operations are running smoothly. In addition, they will support the hiring, training, development, and performance counseling of all staff within their operation.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS · Hospitality/Food and Beverage to include retail and multi-venues experience preferred. · Minimum 3+ years related experience preferably e-commerce or fulfilment or equivalent work experience in the hospitality/food and beverage industry. · Strong technical and analytical skills with a focus on the accuracy of work preferred. · Product management/inventory experience highly desired · Highly proficient with MS Office, MS Project, Outlook applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new systems.

  • Collaborative work style and ability to work effectively across departments. · Exhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills. · Bachelor’s Degree preferred. · Experience or ability to automate or drive process efficiency desired.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES · Managing and owning product data using inventory and purchasing systems, POS systems and e-commerce related platforms. · Assuring data accuracy and monitoring proper information flow including sftp protocols. · Responsible for maintaining native website and third-party marketplaces to support operations.
  • Develops automated reporting and analysis for more efficient use of data. · Coordinates process flow to ensure orders are dispatched on time to meet customer delivery promise (restaurant orders and grocery orders). · Ensure orders are picked, packed and completed on time to meet E-Commerce customer Pickup & Delivery promise. · Maintain shoppers team awareness of in-store customer needs and priority.
  • Manage labor for shift leaders, shoppers and runners, in addition lending a hand “player/coach” when required to support customer promise times. · Ensure shoppers have the proper tools (Tech & Non-Tech) to perform their jobs and communicate repair or replacement when needed to leadership. · Direct, assign and supervise job duties for shoppers and shift leaders. · Partner with leadership in all areas to ensure successful and continuous operations.
  • Follows all operational policies and procedures. Act as the main point of contact for E-Commerce fulfillment errors. · Continuously evaluate and appropriately alter employee training to meet the operations and training needs. · Responsible for performance management of direct reports; ensuring appropriate handling of performance concerns are addressed in a timely, fair, and consistent manner and approach.
  • Oversee customer service · Operate ethically to protect the image of the company. · Ability to manage expectations, processes, and multiple projects simultaneously. · Ability to perform ad-hoc reporting as needed in a timely and accurate manner. · Must be able to maintain a scheduled availability flexible to the business demands.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: · Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. · Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards · Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10 – 30 pounds on a regular basis and up to 25 pounds on a regular (or occasional basis). Ability to stand for prolong periods of time.
  • Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the property. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment. · Climbing steps regularly. The base pay range for this position is a salary range of $65,000 - $75,000 per year.
