EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIANS - NEW GRADS!!!

DEPARTMENT: Ambulance Transportation

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center a member of the Medisys Health Network is a fully accredited community-based teaching hospital and Level I Trauma and Stroke Center. Our busy ER operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and treats over 117,000 patients annually. We are staffed with an expert team of Board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse assistants along with a robust support staff including respiratory therapists, social workers, case managers whom are all dedicated towards one goal: providing the highest level of professional, compassionate care to the many culturally diverse and underserved patients and residents in Queens, New York. We are currently seeking Emergency Medical Technicians for F/T, P/T and Per Diem opportunities.

DUTIES:

• Performing first-aid as well as basic life support medical treatment in emergency and non-emergency situations.
• Obtaining and recording medical information to complete patient care documents.
• Operating emergency vehicles to safely and efficiently transport accident, injured, and or sick individuals.
• Performing daily vehicle and DOH compliance inspections
• Maintaining and ensuring ambulance supply inventory.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be currently NYS DOH certified EMT-B.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for one year
• Must be able to lift and carry 125 pounds,
• Able to drive in normal and adverse conditions.
• Skillful in thinking and acting quickly in stressful situations.

SALARY: $19.0084

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour
