Trane Technologies, the global leader in innovative climate solutions for a sustainable world, is seeking a Field Project Manager in New Jersey. In this role you will be a key team member on our Equipment Sales Organization and responsible for supporting the execution of our equipment projects on large complex projects and smaller critical project issues.
This role will support projects in NYC, NJ, and the Long Island area. Travel to these areas is required.
Responsibilities:
- Create a great customer experience by managing equipment projects, being the voice of Trane in the field
- Attending job site meetings
- Listening to customers and understanding issues/concerns
- Directing customers on helping to resolve issues
- If possible, address issue to avoid a service call
- Come up with temporary fixes or permanent solutions in collaboration with the customer, sales team, or Trane equipment project manager
- Own directing the contractor/ Trane PM`s / Sales Team / Service Team
- Use creative problem-solving skills to help troubleshoot and determine root causes for warranty issues, and to help customers find solutions to HVAC and business problems; includes leading problem-solving teams.
- The ability to communicate technical concepts and troubleshooting instructions either via the telephone or in writing.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge and understanding of customer expectations and product standards.
- Assists in coordinating the provision of warranty parts and service labor to resolve issues.
- Meet and direct techs onsite for easy handoff and clear scope of work
- Create custom startup logs
- Attend Customer MDI (manage for daily improvement) calls to provide input on critical customer issues
- Report back to team on job status/ findings
- Adapt schedule to address critical issues timing (time management and prioritization)
- Help Sales and Service with site issues
- Job summary emails/ Closeouts (full findings report on job that may require a formal Trane response)
- Check in with Customers and Sales on job status
- Follow up with customers after job completion for customer feedback
- Promotes company safety policies to team members and subcontractors.
- Local Travel to job sites required as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum Five (5) years’ experience in project management, HVAC service or related preferred.
- Experienced and knowledgeable in contracting processes associated with the installation of HVAC systems
- Computer skills are essential.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, and negotiating ability are needed to excel in this position
- The ability to maintain a professional, cooperative temperament with internal and external customers in high stress situations.
- Highly organized and strongly customer service oriented
Salary: $88,000 - $140,000 base salary, plus incentive.

This position is eligible for a Hybrid work schedule and will be based out of our NJ or LIC office location. Flexible work from home options available.
