ABOUT THE ROLE


The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager
will report to the Director of FP&A and partner with business leaders, as well as finance and accounting peers across the organization. The Manager will be the financial planning and analysis divisional lead for Roland Foods’s affiliate company, Albert Uster Imports, Inc. They will oversee the annual budgeting process and monthly/quarterly forecasts and develop and maintain performance reporting and analysis. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn all areas of the business while interacting with AUI Fine Foods’ and Roland Foods’ operating and finance leadership. In this exciting opportunity, the FP&A Manager will collaborate closely with senior executives across the company and manage long-term strategic planning. Additional responsibilities include assisting in P&L, balance sheets, and operational financial management.

The FP&A Manager will be expected to travel once a month to Albert Uster Imports Inc.’s headquarters in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

As a response to the pandemic, Roland Foods office employees have transitioned to a hybrid working schedule, requiring employees to report in-person Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to telework on Monday and Friday each week. Due to the collaborative, cross-functional nature of the organization, employees at the NY and NJ offices are required to work in-person for the abovementioned days, outside of any People & Culture-approved disability accommodation request.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Forecasting and Budgeting: Lead the analysis of actual results, forecasts, and budgets for Albert Uster Imports, Inc. Work closely with team members to develop an annual budget and periodic forecasts and understand the key drivers.
  • Financial Analysis and Management Reporting: Lead the preparation of high-quality financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for the Executive Leadership team, delivered in a timely manner with meaningful analysis, to enable discussion on key financial matters.
  • Special Projects / Ad-hoc Support / Analysis: Execute high-quality and timely analysis for the Executive Leadership team as well as other functional areas. Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports. Projects may include liquidity analysis, capital structure changes, ROI analysis, investor presentations, M&A due diligence, working capital analysis, and strategic planning.



QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 4-5+ years of progressive experience in Finance, Accounting or FP&A.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Critical thinker and self-starter who embraces change and can lead innovation in financial reporting and modeling
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work well under tight deadlines.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred

  • Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Hyperion, Essbase, SAP business explorer, etc.).
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and applications.
  • Strong communicator and a great teammate.



SALARY RANGE

Roland Foods hires exceptional people to perform a wide variety of important functions that contribute to the success of the Company. One of the ways Roland Foods does that is through a competitive compensation package. The base salary for this role will be $80,000 - $125,000.

This role is bonus eligible.

Based on your qualifications, previous experience, and transferrable skills, the Company will determine at its sole discretion, the salary offered.
