Job description
POSITION CAN BE PERFORMED REMOTELY. Equipment will be provided. Will support multiple counties across Florida. (Lake, Marion, Alachua, Citrus, Hernando, and Sumter County)

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Provide nonclinical peer support services to help establish and maintain wellbeing during times of professional and personal crisis.
- Develop goals and strategies to help address trauma and operational stress injury in first responder work.
- Facilitate peer support groups with clients; assist in providing training in areas of interest to First Responders.
- Provide individualized encouragement and support; share lived experiences to help demonstrate that recovery is possible.
- Build relationships and provide referrals to health, home and other community resources.
- Develop working relationships with other agencies and organizations to advocate for First Responders.
- Collaborate in developing innovative approaches for engaging individuals and their families who may be at risk.
- Assist in interventions with First Responder clients, as needed.

- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Six months or more working with or as a First Responder
- Some knowledge of community resources, trauma-informed practices,
- Florida driver’s license with daily access to a reliable and insured vehicle
- Ability to work a standard scheduled week, which may include evenings, weekends or holidays.
