Summary

Responsibilities include leading the forecasting and budgeting process, including analyzing, reviewing, and planning strategic and tactical forecasts, budgets, and other financial analysis for Werner Electric Supply. This will include working closely with all functional areas of the business and may include delegation to non-direct reports in the finance department.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
  • 3-5 years related experience strongly preferred. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively at all business levels

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for forecasting and budgeting, including working with sales organization on sales and gross margin forecast, working with entire organization on operating expense forecast, and integrating all forecasting and budget information with Adaptive Insights, WESC’s financial reporting and forecasting software.
  • Responsible for setting weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly schedules and deadlines for all budget and forecasting processes.
  • Work directly with Executive Management to prepare, improve, and streamline scheduled or ad hoc analysis and financial presentations, including Board of Director materials, and State of the Company materials.
  • Responsible for measuring profitability of customers, products, departments, and other business units across the organization, with focus on gathering input from sales, operations, project management, and pricing departments.
  • Works alongside Controller to accurately forecast, report, and analyze Services business (Service P&L).
  • Participate in preparation of daily, weekly, monthly and annual performance metrics.
  • Participate in and prepare reports related to monthly region/departmental forecast review process.
  • Participate in cost analysis and rate studies as directed by the VP of Finance.
  • Assist in evaluation of business system processes and developing procedures where improvement is needed.
  • Heavy involvement in continuous improvement projects.
  • Responsible for account reconciliations and other traditional accounting responsibilities.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
