Title: Area Manager


Job Summary:


The General Manager is accountable for Existing Business Consulting Services, Business Development and Supervision of office operations and leadership of assigned personnel. These responsibilities include but are not limited to safety, client service, human resources, training Consultants, developing strategic plans, communicating business goals, sales and marketing support functions. This will also be a partial revenue position with monthly revenue targets in line with other management duties.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Consulting Services/Business Development provides leads and work for yourself and other Associate/Consultant participation.
  • Provides coaching, training, and performance feedback to personnel in areas of service, job skills, job performance and safety. Documents training and feedback provided.
  • Provides leadership and works with staff to create a customer service-oriented work environment that supports the overall corporate mission and values.
  • Provides monitoring of regional revenue, expenses and participates in the budgeting process.
  • Analyzing accounting and financial data
  • Researching and identifying growth opportunities
  • Evaluating performance and productivity
  • Generate reports and give presentations


Required Education, Experience and Skills:


  • Four (4) or more years of experience in the industry preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience of consultant-level employees preferred.
  • Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Management, Architecture, Engineering or related field is preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of the industry.
  • Strong leadership skills, including coaching and counseling, enabling others to act and developing a service and team focused culture amongst reports.
  • Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to develop, plan and execute strategies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment juggling multiple projects and priorities.
  • Ability to work well with all levels of Project Managers, build partnerships and direct teams.
  • Ability to travel regionally on a regular basis.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Acrobat and PowerPoint.
