IND456_OPENING for a college graduate or experienced individual with an industry leader in publishing! This is an entry-level or mid-level position currently opened (LONG ISLAND)

The candidate must be proficient in:
Illustrator CC
Photoshop CC
InDesign CC
Knowledge of fonts and CC a plus
The candidate must be detail-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to meet deadlines. Hours: 8:30AM – 5:30PM + any additional hours that may be necessary to meet deadlines. Salary Commensurate with Experience

Professional Sports Publications is seeking a full-time Graphic Designer to join a growing editorial department that produces both industry-focused marketing periodicals and sports publications. We’re looking for a team player who is eager to be fully involved in the development of new publications at the company.

Responsibilities include:

• Create and maintain brand image and standards from team to team
• Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Must be able to meet all project deadlines
• Work effectively with teammates
• Create compelling graphics, layout compositions, illustrations
• Editing copy, organizing and proofing layouts
• Build a publication from start to finish

Skills desired:

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite; Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Bridge and Adobe Acrobat
• Working knowledge of Google Docs, Excel and Microsoft Office
• Demonstrable abilities in typography, layout, composition and color.
• Relevant knowledge of print production
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal design, editorial and art teams.
• Aptitude and confidence to create and present layout design
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Familiarity with book production and prepress process

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
