We are looking for a dedicated, personable individual to work and live rent-free in an in-home family daycare. The space is a bright furnished apartment in Lower Haight. It will be used as a family daycare/preschool between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and is solely yours outside of daycare hours. Your role would be as Lead Teacher for 4 infants and back office work will be handled by us. Must be self-directed and truly enjoy working with children.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Supervise and monitor the safety of children at all times.
Ensure compliance with in-home daycare regulations.
Take instructions from parents regarding each child's specific behavior and limitations.
Organize mealtimes and snacks.
Assist children in performing tasks of daily life such as washing hands and eating food.
Change the diapers of infants and toddlers.
Organize and lead age-appropriate activities.
Establish child routines and schedules, and assist children in transitioning between them.
Help children develop emotionally, socially, and physically.
Discipline children appropriately to their age and development.
Keep records of children's progress, routines, and interest.
Communicate with parents daily.
Keep all areas accessible to children clean, orderly, and safe.
Provide basic housekeeping i. e. washing dishes, laundry, sweeping, etc.
Assist / carry children downstairs to outdoor area.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years experience at a daycare with infants and / or toddlers.
Must be COVID vaccinated and boosted
Must be a self-starter and able to work with little to no direction.
Handle emergency situations calmly and professionally.
Have patience, compassion, and strong communication skills.
Be CPR certified, or willing to certify.
Be willing to attend orientation, as well as 15+ hours of safety and health training.
Willing and able to pass background check.
Must be able to work in the US.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
