Job Description
Responsibilities:
  • Teach allied health/health/healthcare leadership, management, research, writing, and interprofessional practice in both the undergraduate and graduate programs, such as: Collaborative Leadership and Practice, Project Management, Risk Management, Healthcare Information Management, Healthcare Policy and Quality, Data and Decision-Making, Financial Resource Management, Research and Writing, and Capstone
  • Actively instruct courses online via various media commensurate with department and university needs; HLA houses two undergraduate online completion programs for working adults as well as a graduate online degree.
  • Provide timely and quality feedback to students to promote their course success.
  • Engage in scholarly research or creative achievement to enhance knowledge of field.
  • Provide evidence of continuing preparation and study in the field to enhance teaching abilities.
  • Contribute to student growth and development including student advising.
  • Provide service to the university and community including the program, the department, the college, the university, the greater community. Support Winona State University’s mission to enhance the intellectual, social, cultural, and economic vitality of the people and communities we serve.

Required Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Earned doctorate in Healthcare Leadership, Health Professions, Health/Healthcare Management, Leadership or other related area(s).
  • Evidence of having held a leadership or management role in an Allied Health/Health/Healthcare organization.
  • Demonstrated college teaching experience including online education.

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated college teaching experience in Allied Health/Health/Healthcare Leadership or Management courses.
  • Experience in integrating technology in teaching, scholarly activities, and research.
  • Knowledge of applied analytics/big data/statistics to help guide program.
  • Demonstrated experience meeting quality assurance standards in developing and delivering online courses similar to Quality Matters.
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with colleagues, administrators, and other departments.
  • Hold relevant certifications in the field, such as CMPE and CHFP.
