Job Description and Qualifications

Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases, has an immediate opportunity for an HR Specialist. This role will be based at our global headquarters in Allentown, PA. This role will be based within the MyHR team. MyHR is the face of HR to employees and managers providing employee support, HR subject matter expertise and execution of HR Operations while delivering an exceptional employee experience.

The MyHR Specialist is an employee facing role performing a variety of duties mainly related to compensation and benefit program administration. Program administration includes handling and performing day-to-day tasks, problem solving, guiding employees through processes and administrative tasks such as paying invoices, processing forms etc.

This position is ideal for the candidate who enjoys a wide variety of responsibilities, customer service and is detail oriented.

Qualifications include:

  • 5-7 years of experience in Human Resources; particularly experience in the compensation and/or benefits space, such as leave administration, insurance programs and retirement plans.
  • Exceptional customer care and focus in a Human Resources setting
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal)
  • Positive "can do" attitude; Adaptable to change, Process focused
  • Ability to work independently (a self-starter) in a fast-paced team environment across a variety of departments.
  • Superior organization skills, the ability to prioritize and multitask
  • The ability to work well with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Confidentiality and integrity are a must
  • Skills in the Microsoft software suite (Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint)
  • Workday or SAP experience is a plus
