Job Details

Ski Technicians' work shifts combine multiple responsibilities, always keeping the job fresh and fun. Core responsibilities include interacting with our customers by delivering equipment rentals, offering our support service and picking up equipment after their final day on the mountain.

This position is in The Waldorf Astoria located at the Canyons base of Park City Mountain Resort. The Waldorf has a gondola steps away from our shop allowing you to ski 7 days a week! In-house ski technicians work closely with the Waldorf team to provide seamless service for every guest.

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver ski/snowboard rentals and accessories to our customers’ accommodations, focusing on our Key Customer Requirements in order to get the customer excited about their ski trip.
  • On Time: Arrive at the agreed upon time.
  • Equipment: The right equipment for each customer in great condition.
  • Communication: Set clear expectations around the entire scope of service.
• Provide equipment support to our customers and fellow ski technicians.
• Pickup equipment after our guests last ski/snowboard day.
• Check equipment in and out of the valet, working directly with the hotel front desk team.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Staging orders for future deliveries.
• Basic ski tuning, waxing and general maintenance of our equipment.
• Organization and cleanliness of the shop.
• Answering and making calls to our guests.
  
• Building relationships with the hotel team.

Full-time Ski Technicians have 5 shifts per week, running from 6:30am - 2:00pm (AM shift) OR 2:00pm - close (PM Shift). Our schedule allows you to get out skiing/riding any day you want to. No prior experience required. ETA start date: Dec 1, 2022

Full-time Ski Technicians have a base wage of $18/hour and a guaranteed wage of $25/hour.

401K benefit and match for ALL staff members over 21 years old

Ski Technicians are also given a season pass, or can be reimbursed for the cost if you have already purchased a pass.

• Guaranteed wage is based on average wage / hour, including base wage, credit card tip, and bonuses over the pay dates 12/12 - 4/2.
• In order to be eligible for both the guaranteed wage and ski pass, you must work a minimum of 3 shifts/ week through your agreed upon end date.
