Job description
- Diagnose machine and equipment malfunctions and dismantle, repair and rebuild as necessary.
- Communicate problems and repair schedules to operating departments.
- Plan and perform operations to move, position, align, level and secure machines and equipment.
- Maintain hydraulic, air, gas, water, ventilation, cutting/welding, overhead lifting and power transmission systems.
Broad knowledge of various trade fundamentals sufficient to perform general maintenance duties.- Sound knowledge of necessary techniques to align and fit shafts, bearings and bushings.
- Proficiency with variety of measuring and leveling devices.
- Completed apprenticeship in maintenance or similar education and experience.
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs., work in awkward positions and at heights.
