As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic – 1st Shift, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and conducting preventative maintenance on metal stamping equipment and supporting equipment. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)Troubleshoot, service, and repair mechanical, electrical, electronic, and hydraulic equipment related to the manufacturing of truss plates. (55%)Perform preventative maintenance on stamping presses and supporting equipment related to the manufacturing of truss plates. (25%)Miscellaneous tasks which could include parts inventory management, coordinating with vendors, developing training materials and solutions. (15%)Install and service electrical distribution systems. (5%)DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Associates in technology related field is preferred but not required.
- Simpson Strong-Tie Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Certification (will certify at hire) is required.
- 5 years working in industrial or commercial environments
- Tools: own tools must be provided.
- Electrical: 12-480V electrical troubleshooting and repair skills. Including servos, VFD’s and PLC’s.
- Mechanical: experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Writing: ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Speaking: ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, vendors, and other employees of the organization.
- Technology: knowledgeable in Maintenance Connection Software and Microsoft PC environment, including Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Self-Management: ability to display a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner.
