IT Network Engineer
The Network Engineer works with the Network Team and IT Leadership to monitor, maintain and upgrade equipment for a reliable and secure network at both local and geographically dispersed sites. Main areas of focus include Switching, Routing, VLANs, Wireless Infrastructure, VOIP, Radius and HA Environments on both LAN and WAN Networks. This is an ON-SITE role located at Stoneridge Creek in Pleasanton, California.
Schedule: Full-Time Monday-Friday flexible schedule.
Salary: $94,500-$105,600

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
- Configure and deploy layer 3 network devices.
- Deploy and configure wireless access points and controllers.
- Monitor LAN and WAN performance and prepare usage reports and recommended changes/upgrades.
- Responsible for the evaluation, recommendation and installation of hardware and software required to ensure network security and protection of information.
- Installs, troubleshoots and repairs network cabling infrastructure as required. Fiber knowledge is a plus.
- Maintains records and information on network configurations, including hardware and software components, their locations, reliability and service history.
- Collaborate with Management to assess short and long term capacity needs of the network.
- Participates in the testing and procedure of the disaster recovery plan on a periodic basis.
- Respond to emergency Network related outages as required. (On Call Rotation if after hours is required)
- Provide end user support as needed including escalation from Tier 1 and Tier 2 support.
- Deep knowledge of Network Standards including, VIP, LACP,VLAN, DMZ, VRF, VSF, VSX, STP, RSTP, 802.1x, HA,
- Experience with Wireless Management, Deployment and Installation.
- Knowledge and use of Monitoring tools such as Solarwinds and Splunk a plus.
- Firewall and VPN experience a plus.
- Familiarity with Smartsheets, Sharepoint, Change Management, Project Deadlines and Tracking.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma required, Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
- Additional years of information systems work experience may apply in place of a Bachelor's degree
- Excellent Written and Verbal documentation and Communication Required
- 3 years of experience as a network administration, network engineer or network security officer
- Legally Authorized to work in the United States
