JOB DESCRIPTION
Junior Accountant

CFS has partnered with an organization based in Ossining, NY to help find a new Junior Accounting Analyst to join their growing team! The ideal candidate for this position is an entry level, self-starter with a "can-do" attitude and strong work ethic.

• Over 500 retail locations across over 20 states in the US!
• One of the largest distributors/retailers in the business

• In growth mode due to acquisition activity that has taken place in the last year
• In early stages, but planning to become a publicly-traded organization!
• Worked under great management, including their Controller (who is a CPA, looking to pass on their knowledge)

• Assisting in both Accounts Payable and Receivable
• Create and maintain accurate vendor records and and enter into accounting system
• Ensure all payables are approved by the correct department
• Communicate with vendors to ensure billing discrepancies and questions are being resolved
• Collections reporting and entry
• Review daily payment application process and bill generation
• Assist with month end and year end closings
• Ad Hoc analysis

What the client is looking for:

• A Bachelor's Degree in either Accounting or Finance
• Related Internship Experience is a plus
• Experience with Pivot tables and VLOOKUPs is a plus!
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
