ForYourParty.com is a retail and wholesale business located in Skokie, Il. We operate businesses that manufacture, wholesale to trade (AR-EN.com) and retail to consumer (ForYourParty.com), personalized party accessories. We are an office and manufacturing facility that foil stamps, letterpresses, runs thermography, laser and digital equipment and manufactures paper goods products from napkins to face masks and more.

Our growing E-Commerce organization seeks a Jr. Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Development Team to help build and support a highly customized on-line shopping environment working on both the ForYourParty.com and AR-EN.com websites. This person should be ready to deliver responsive, performant, readable, accessible, semantic, and search engine / social media discoverable customer journeys. Currently we are transitioning into a custom version of agile, customer driven work, and an anti- ”that’s how we have always done it” philosophy. This is not a remote position. Candidates must be able to work daily from our office in Skokie, IL.

Our ideal candidate will have 2+ years’ experience in the following areas:

• PHP 7, PHP 8, and Symfony experience
• PHP composer and node npm package manager
• JavaScript, React, Gulp, and Webpack
• Understanding of semantic HTML, CSS, SCSS, and SVGs
• Experience in Laravel, jsonapi and jQuery
• MySQL
• Drupal 8, headless Drupal, and ideally Drupal Commerce 2
• Generating images using imagick and PHP
• Docker
• Distributed job queue experience with gearman, amazon SQS or beanstalkd
• Unit tests with phpunit, phpstan and psalm
• Development environments and source control, like GitLab and DevOps pipelines
• Quality focused mobile testing and Cypress
