McGee Air Services is looking for experienced Lead Ramp Agents to join our SEA Team!

The Lead Ramp Agent will direct the daily activities of the team, balance resources, and is responsible for supporting a team's ability to achieve mutually established goals. This role is responsible for providing support in turning an aircraft on-time, with a focus on safety and service.

The Lead performs all Station Agent (Ramp/Fleet) duties which at any given location, may include above- or below-wing functions, wheelchair services, or a combination of the three while mentoring and setting an example for team members. Do you match this skillset?

  • Be aware of safety procedures, operational goals, and timelines to ensure all are followed without fail Assume responsibility and accountability for the team and of team members while leading, directing, motivating, and approving the team's work
  • Communicate in a clear, concise, and consistent manner
  • Recognize and encourage individual and team performance
  • Actively monitors team activities to ensure proper safety procedures are followed and escalates as needed, provides coaching and immediate correction while effectively communicating to leadership of coaching and guidance of team members.
  • Ensures assigned equipment works properly, is returned at the close of each shift and is in working order and if not, identifies non-operational equipment to leadership
  • Exhibits safety first mindset and encourages team to stop the operation when something does not feel safe, or something is questionable and follows this principle for every task
  • Coach, train, and mentor new team members and provide guidance to more experienced team members to ensure all safety and operational procedures are followed.
  • Maintain curiosity, seek better ways to do things for ongoing improvement
  • Demonstrates being a role model by being to flights on-time and be prepared. Follows all operational and safety procedures to include load plans to ensure accuracy and on-time departures.

  • Flexibility and willingness to perform additional duties as assigned

-Ability to lift-up to 75 pounds on an ongoing and frequent basis

-Ability to understand and interpret flight schedules and airline flight destination information Ability to give and receive information in English both orally and written

-Ability to obtain and maintain an airport security clearance, customs seal, and/or USPS security clearance including background criminal history check, drug screen, and fingerprinting required by specific work assignment

-Valid driver's license with a good driving record

-Knowledge of operation of industrial equipment and previous experience preferred as required by location

-High school diploma or equivalent preferred

-Must be at least 18 years of age

-Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

This position requires significant physical agility and physical mobility.

Must comfortably, frequently, continuously, and within short timelines: lift, carry, and move heavy items; work in cramped or high places; climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop for extended periods of time; carry heavy items up and down stairs; push/pull loaded and empty carts, and stand for extended periods.

Lead Agent Earning Potential: Ramp Agent Starting Rate: $19.52 Lead Differential: $6/Hour Reliability Bonus: $4/Hour (So as long as reliability qualifications are met.) Lead Ramp Agent Earning Range: $25.52 - $29.52
