The Playing Field believes in taking care of children begins with taking care of teachers.

The Playing Field is expanding! We are hiring Lead Early Childhood Teachers at our Madison locations. We are actively hiring lead teachers at our Mineral Point location on Madison's West Side.

The Playing Field has been serving children and families from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds and caring for children impacted by homelessness alongside those from more advantaged families since 2015.

We offer a supportive workplace with extensive training and coaching and very low child to teacher ratios. Our unique model provides a great opportunity for professionals who want to make a difference by supporting vulnerable children and families while growing as professionals. Our program is designed to promote strong attachments- pairing the same teacher with the same children for as long as possible. We also have a path for staff advancement and as we continue to grow, we seek teachers who want to grow with us.

In addition to competitive salaries, we offer a $1000 sign on bonus after completion of the probationary period as well as additional bonuses throughout the year totaling $1000 or more. Staff receive 20 days of paid time off annually plus 9 paid holidays. Health, dental, and vision insurance as well as a Simple IRA 3% employer match are offered to staff working 30 hours or more per week.

All applicants must be reliable, professional, and willing to learn. A commitment to high standards in early care and education is essential. A certificate from The Wisconsin Registry is required-if needed, we will guide candidates in how to receive a certificate in the later stages of the hiring process.
