Summary: Healthy Kids Programs is looking for an energetic, motivated, skilled, detail-orientated, self-starter to join our team as the Manager of Buildings and Grounds. In this role, you will manage and address common maintenance issues across 7 company owned properties as well as 4 company leased properties throughout New York State, overseeing and performing repairs and installations as well as recommending subcontractors for serious infrastructural projects. You must be able to address a host of common property issues, such as electrical, plumbing, and heating.

Our ideal candidate has several years of professional experience in property management and maintenance, along with reliable transportation and a flexible schedule to respond to emergencies as they arise.

This position is based at our administrative offices at 565 Union Avenue in New Windsor, NY but will require travel.

Salary - $65,000-$80,000

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversees company owned and leased buildings in the following areas in NY: Hudson Valley, Western NY, Central NY and Upstate New York.
  • Helps support the maintenance and/or cleaning and/or renovations of company owned and leased buildings.
  • Conducts and documents regular facilities inspections of each building every month.
  • Learn the building codes for daycare facilities and over time ensure that all facilities are always in compliance.
  • Manages maintenance, landscaping, snow plowing and cleaning functions.
  • Ensures that each facility is clean and maintained according to company policy and procedures.
  • Oversees and supervises the quality of work for other employees to ensure that all tasks are performed correctly, efficiently, and effectively.
  • Manages and reviews service contracts.
  • Manage and inspect work by vendors and contractors while project is being completed as well as after completion.
  • Recommends maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications.
  • Communicates workplace safety precautions to employees.
  • Serves as General Contractor on larger renovation projects.
  • Plays a large role in identifying additional buildings to acquire and if acquired ensure Daycare spaces comply with building codes for Daycare.
  • Manage and oversee additional buildings as they are acquired.
  • Be on-call when needed to respond to emergency issues.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Degree/Certification in facility management, business, information management, or engineering preferred but not required
  • 5 -10 years in related positions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
