Position Description
The Chick-fil-A Janesville Marketing and Catering Director will be responsible for managing all aspects of restaurant’s marketing, catering, and outside sales efforts. The director will execute the annual and 90-day marketing plan and system to market the Chick-fil-A brand both internally and externally ensuring local store marketing and social media marketing occur on a daily basis. They will embody the values of Chick-fil-A Janesville and serve as an ambassador to the community. The Marketing and Catering Director will also be responsible for the execution of all catering sales and sales events outside the restaurant. Some of these events will be on nights and weekends.
This director must demonstrate creativity and marketing strengths with the strong ability to think strategically in planning and implementing marketing initiatives and promotions. The Marketing and Catering Director, as a member of the Janesville CFA leadership team, will ensure that the restaurant pursues its vision of thriving individuals and communities.
Responsibilities
Execute position responsibilities
Marketing
- Develop 90-day marketing plan that aligns with national roll-out of promotions concrete goals for percentage increase in sales and transactions
- Arrange and host local spirit nights for school fundraising
- Arrange local and store events to increase brand awareness of Chick-fil-A in community
- Ensure Chick-fil-A cow is present at local and store events
- Develop strategy for giving away free food at the store
- Develop and execute on social media strategy that supports marketing plan- includes updated Facebook, Instagram accounts, and website.
- Develop and change restaurant signage to support marketing plan and local events. Ensure POP is displayed properly and all marketing materials are to brand standard and to Chick-fil-A’s VIS (Visual Identity Standard).
Catering and Outside Sales
- Assemble and deliver local catering orders
- Develop strategy to grow catering sales by 30% in 2023
- Execute free catering strategy to introduce local businesses to Chick-fil-A Janesville catering options
- Identify and execute outside sales opportunities at community events and concession stands- some of these events will be on nights and weekends
Donations
- Execute donation and giving strategy for schools and local organizations
- Arrange with schools catering and product resale opportunities
- Develop system for tracking donations and potential impact
Team Member: As with all directors and managers at Chick-fil-A Janesville, during peak business times, the Marketing and Catering Director will serve in position making sure that each guest has the most compelling quick service experience possible.
Lead, equip, and develop your team
- Develop local market for catering and outside sales to necessitate expansion of the Chick-fil-A Janesville catering and marketing team
- Develop a positive culture within your team so that all individuals are supporting to pursue thriving lives and careers
- Develop and guide the members of the marketing and catering team to ensure your team is delivering the most compelling quick service experience possible
Lead the business
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, schools, and non-profits to advance the vision of Chick-fil-A Janesville.
- Participate as a member of the Janesville Chick-fil-A leadership team ensuring a consistent culture of excellence and care in the restaurant and collaborating on restaurant-wide initiatives

REQUIREMENTS
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must have a source of reliable transportation
- Ability to handle all equipment, pans, pots, navigating shelving both high and low
- Reading, writing, and basic math and verbal communication skills required
