Families First Pediatrics
We are a fast paced and expanding pediatric clinic on the south end of Salt Lake County. We currently have offices in South Jordan, Riverton, and Bluffdale, with new clinics in West Jordan, Lehi, and
Stansbury Park by the end of 2023. We are looking for happy, dependable, and self motivated people to join our team.
Overview
Families First Pediatrics is looking for Medical Assistants to work at our Pediatric clinics in South
Jordan, Riverton, and Bluffdale locations. The Medical Assistant performs a variety of patient care activities to assist the Physicians. We strive to deliver quality customer service and maintain the highest quality control standards.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Escort patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient's chart.
- Record patient information such as vital signs, weight, changes in medical history into the electronic medical record
- Clean and prepare exam rooms for patients
- Perform and assist providers with procedures, hearing, vision screenings, injections and vaccinations, collection and preparation of specimens
- Assist Supervisor in maintaining the medical inventory, cleaning and stocking exam rooms
- Utilize Electronic Medical Record and Patient Portal for communications with providers and patient's families.
- Ensure all related reports, labs and information is filed is available in patients' medical records prior to their appointment.
- Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Previous Medical Assistant experience in Pediatrics or Primary Care
- Knowledge of childhood immunization schedule.
- Ability to administer injections.
- Exceptional customer service.
- Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow.
- Current Basic Life Support certificate
