Position Summary:

The DME Service and Delivery Technician is responsible for driving to and from healthcare locations and patient homes to complete delivery and equipment management tasks. Assigned role includes delivery and pick-up of medical equipment, processing, cleaning, inspecting, and testing equipment including inventory maintenance.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Repair and maintain all rehab and DME equipment in a timely, cost effective manner.
  • Verify warranty repair request.
  • Maintain proper documentation on all repairs.
  • Educate and engage customers at the time of delivery, keeping customers informed on the features and functionality of the equipment.
  • Safely load, secure, and deliver medical equipment to customers.
  • Retrieves equipment from customer locations, safely transporting the equipment back to its designated location.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Responsible for maintaining the physical and mechanical condition of company vehicles.
  • Demonstrate timeliness, courtesy, sincerity and patience when dealing with the customers.
  • Willingly accepts other duties as assigned.

Experience:

  • At least one year experience in a similar role
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year of customer service experience
  • Basic computer skills

Certifications/License:

  • Hold a current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license.

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Be able to lift and/or push up to 75 lbs.
  • Be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Be able to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for long periods of time.

Other requirements

  • Willing to travel 75% in the designated service areas
  • Be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, as well as emergency off-hours as required to support a 24/7 schedule.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $22.05 per hour
