Position Summary:
The Multi-Media Editor will be part of the SIG SAUER Technical Writing Team responsible for taking raw animation and creating the final product in support of the various SIG SAUER commercial and defense projects. This mid-level position works in a team environment and maintains a strong ability to collaborate with Technical Writers and Engineers within SIG SAUER. The Multimedia Editor will strive to ensure the delivered product exceeds the expectations of various end-user audiences.
- Works in a collaborative environment as a member of the technical writing team to generate high-quality content in a deadline-driven environment.
- Creates the final product utilizing animation created by the Technical Writing team in support of training, corporate, defense, and commercial requests.
- Utilizes modern media editing platforms such as Adobe Premiere/After Effects.
- Works closely with multiple in-house departments as well as external partners.
- Recording and editing audio as well as voiceovers.
- Creates title and motion graphics.
- Designs models, background sets, characters, objects, and the animation environment.
- Creates and edits audio tracks.
- Strong understanding of digital media usage, consumption, and technology, especially regarding online animation.
- Must be able to travel infrequently.
- Participates in and sustains 6S Standards.
- Engages in and actively volunteers for Continuous Improvement projects/tasks.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in digital media production and/or 5 years equivalent experience required.
- Experience using modern editing software.
- Experience in designing and editing graphics.
- Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking.
- Excellent writing and grammatical skills for B2B and B2C as well as technical and corporate (previous work in journalism, marketing, or communication fields are a plus).
- Deadline driven with strong presentation and organizational skills and the ability to manage tasks/projects in tandem.
- Familiarity with the firearms industry.
- Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which is required in designated areas.
