JOB TITLE: Power and Gas Scheduler

REPORTS TO: Wholesale Operations Supervisor

SUMMARY: Santanna Energy Services has an immediate opening for a Power and Natural Gas Scheduler to join its Operations team! The successful candidate must possess a willingness to learn and have the ability to nominate contractual load on a timely basis, arrange for the gas delivery to customers on a daily basis, and effectively communicate with personnel to ensure imbalances are curtailed. The incumbent must possess strong administrative skills, have a high degree of accuracy, and be able to demonstrate a commitment to attention to detail and time management. The Power and Gas Scheduler will be part of the Wholesale Operations team and will be responsible to accurately and timely schedule gas on assigned pipelines and markets.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Gas pipeline forecasting and nomination in assigned markets based on established tariffs and company goals.
- Manage, forecast and schedule gas flow for Transportation accounts in assigned markets.
- Execute power load schedule.
- Manage imbalances and confirmations.
- Communicate with utilities and gas wholesaler to resolve imbalances.
- Reconcile and settle final inventory entries between utility company pool bills and internal company records.
- Continuously improve gas and power processes to minimize error rates.
- Review and resolve customer-level status and other exceptions in assigned markets.
- Other tasks and projects as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS/BA degree from accredited four-year college or university; prefer Economics, Math, Finance, Accounting or another business/quantitative field.
- General knowledge of power or natural gas markets strongly preferred.
- 1-2 years of work experience related to data collection and analysis is preferred.
- Power user in Microsoft Excel. Experience with VBA, SQL, other database environments highly desired.
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
