The City of Columbus has a current job opening and is accepting applications for the position of a fulltime Parks Recreational Maintenance Worker.

Pay Range is $20.72 - $27.97 per hour and offers a competitive benefit package.

This is varied, semi-skilled work in a variety of public lands and building maintenance activities.

Perform skilled and semi-skilled labor in various aspects of Athletic Field Maintenance Program including irrigation, construction, and related service activities for the City’s sports complex and parks. Directly participate in the daily maintenance and preparation of playing surfaces, train seasonal staff in techniques to maintain the athletic fields. Follow operational procedures to optimally maintain the playing surface of the field. Experience, special skills, knowledge, and abilities to maintain athletic fields at the highest competitive levels are required.

Receives general supervision from the Park and Recreation Manager & Parks Superintendent. Exercises supervision over seasonal staff assigned to help with athletic fields.

Position requires that you possess and maintain a Commercial driver’s license within 3 months of hire.
