Job description
The Demand Project exists to eradicate human trafficking, online enticement, child abuse sexual material, and the commercial sexual exploitation of children. We do this in 4 ways: Prevention, Protection, Recovery, & Restoration. Part of how we do restoration with victims is by providing a residential campus for survivors who are ages 11-17. These children live with our full-time campus staff, and the Weekend Childcare Worker will relieve the full-time staff from Friday-Sunday. We will train this person in direct care with victims, which includes trauma-informed hands-on training, national victim assistance training, and much more.
Hours are set times: Friday 4pm to Sunday at 5pm. You can work at least one weekend a month, or up to 4 weekends a month, depending on your availability. The pay is $150 per 24 hours, or $300 per weekend. We are looking to hire as soon as possible. 16 hours of training is required before starting. Must be able to pass a background assessment. Our residential campus is about 30 minutes outside of Tahlequah on the Arkansas/Oklahoma border. We do not give out the location for security reasons.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Experience with children preferred.
- Must be organized and flexible.
- Compassionate, logical minded, confident with physical and mental strength.
